Adult Sunday School Class

 Adult Sunday School Classes will resume in the fall on September 9.

The Seekers Adult Sunday School Class,  8:00-9:00 a.m. in the MUM Parlor. The year begins with the book Healing Words, the Power of Prayer and the Practice of Medicine by Larry Dossey, M.D. “Restoring the spiritual art of healing to the science of medicine . . . ” If you need a copy please contact, Dona Todarello at the Church Office (412.372.7474) to have a book ordered for you. A $10 donation is requested. Dave Morse is the class teacher and Leslie Thorsen is the class coordinator.

 

The Christian Living Adult Sunday School Class, 9:15-10:15 a.m. Tracy Ritchie is the teacher. The format will be exploring the scripture passages for each Sunday morning pertaining to the weekly sermons to give the background and in-depth understanding of God’s word. The scripture passages are listed in the monthly MUM Messenger.

Adult Opportunities

 On the first Wednesday of each month we have "Small Group Night."

 There is a time to eat dinner, 6:30-7:00, a short time of fellowship and then break into small groups.

 

Small Groups

Justin’s Small Group is for men between 18-45. We arre using Craig Groeschel’s book Divine Direction which focuses on how we can make better daily decisions to impact our world. They are on Wednesday nights from 7-8 p.m. at Justin’s house and at the church on Small Group Nights (first Sunday of each month). For the address, let Justin know if you are interested.

 

SWAG"SWAG" (Saved With Amazing Grace) Small Group intended for MEN and WOMEN women ages 18-50 and meets twice a month on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. On the 1st Wednesday of the month at the church for “Small Group Night,” and the 3rd Wednesday of the month  at Elizabeth & Susan Burkett's home (camm the church for address). SWAG is studying the new Max Lucado book, Unshakable Hope: Building Our Lives on the Promises of God. What is shaking in your world? Possibly your future, your faith, your family, or finances? For every problem in life, God has given you a promise. Join us as we examine God's unbreakable promises and how to live with an unshakable hope.

  

Made To Crave: This is a women’s study led by Lauren Boothby and Jackie Sheaffer. We will meet on Tuesday nights at 7 p.m. (except on weeks when there is a Small Group Night we will meet on Wednesday). This study focuses on satisfying our desires with God rather than with food.

Circle of Light Prayer Group

All are welcome to join a group prayer experience in the MUM parlor on Wednesdays from 6-7 p.m. The Circle of Light prayer experience allows people to come together to share the many blessings that come from praying together as a group. Participants have opportunities for sharing blessings and concerns. There are brief spoken prayers before and after a time of silent prayer and meditation.  Mid-Week Bible Study

On Thursday mornings at 10 a.m. in the church parlor, Dave Quel leads a short-term Bible study. Everyone is invited to stop in and try the class at any time.

 

Bridge - Beginner to Expert

MUM’s Bridge group meets in the parlor on Monday afternoons 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Pat Carfagna is coordinating the group. All levels are welcome for a fun, relaxing, fellowship. Do you plan to come?
