The Purpose of the Program & Administrative Council

PAC is the leadership and administrative body at M.U.M. Church. The Council consists of the leaders from each of our Ministry Areas who represent various Teams, the Pastor, Lay Leader, Assistant Lay Leader, United Methodist Women’s and Men’s representatives, Lay Delegate to Annual Conference, At-Large Members, Church Treasurer, and Program Staff. Decisions made by the Council are based on the church vision statement, Church Charter and the United Methodist Discipline. MUM’s Ministry Areas report to PAC. Each Ministry Area may consist of one or more Teams which are small groups that have specific task-oriented responsibilities. Ministry Areas are responsible to the Program and Administrative Council and provide leadership, coordination and support to the Teams.

Everyone is welcome at MUM and everyone is encouraged to become involved in one or more of MUM’s Ministry Areas or Teams. Our  Ministry Areas are: Communications, Education, Finance, Lay Leadership, Relational, Staff Parish Relations, Trustees, Witness, Worship, and Youth Discipleship.

Church Conference:

The Congregation at MUM meets each year for Church Conference to review and adopt an annual operating plan, a related budget, church operating policies and other specific actions, if any, that are required to come before the congregation by the United Methodist Book of Discipline. Reports on the Church’s progress in the pursuit of its Vision are submitted to the members of the congregation.

Our church vision statement is “Serving God, Sharing Love, Changing Lives!”
